Hi, I am Angela Covert, a certified Doula trained by Doula School Canada providing perinatal education, labour support services to new parents.

I have worked in the social services field, in Toronto and York Region for over 35 years. I started working in youth-related organizations then moved to housing support programs then to a national health charity where I provided education to persons diagnosed with a chronic disease and their support network including staff, health care professionals and volunteers. Currently I work The Salvation Army in Aurora, ON in community development, managing services and fundraising.

My volunteer work includes leading small groups and being on the board at my church and being on the board of directors of Canadians Care Partnership Ministries based in Ottawa.

In the years 2019, 2020, 2023 and 2024 I travelled with Canadians Care to the Puerta Plata region of Dominican Republic providing funding and work support to local charities. In 2020 I had the pleasure of telling the story of my experience as a sole support mother to young pregnant and single parents at a pregnancy clinic in Puerta Plata, DR. I look forward to returning to the DR in future years.

I have a keen interest in supporting women who may find themselves alone at time of pregnancy and birthing experience.
